Gondia: There are various government instructions that each RTO office in the state should have 250 meter track to inspect the vehicle. Gondia’s break test track was given at Gondia taluka pearly. It has been approved for 39 lakh 13 thousand 980 rupees.
The Mumbai High Court had given the date of 1 November to 27 offices in the state. The Gondia district was initially fixed till 31 January 2018. Later, the court upheld the extension up to 30 June. But the Public Works Department has not created a break test track in the given time frame. As a result, heavy vehicles in Gondia have to be taken to Bhandara for a distance of 100km.
Gondia Sub-Regional Transport Office has been extended two-fold extension to prepare a 250-meter-long break test track for vehicle inspection. Gondia’s Sub-Regional Transportation Department has given reminder 19 times for this track to be prepared. It is to be discussed at the time of the meeting but Executive Engineer Sonali Chavan has not paid attention to this. Every regional, sub-regional transport office must have a 250-meter break test track for vehicle inspection. Gondia district’s break test was initially to be prepared in Goregaon taluka. However, the area that was selected has not been implemented in this area as it is a shrubby forest and a coward.
Later, approval was given to set up a break test track at 1.40 hectare area in Murpar of Gondia taluka. Fixed up to 31 January 2018 for the construction of this track. After that, the deadline was given on June 30. But the Public Works Department is stuck in the tender process. Therefore, heavy vehicles in Gondia district have to go to Bhandara for inspection. The Government has sanctioned 39 lakh 13 thousand 9 80 rupees to the Public Works Department for the Kerchachi Topl brake test track ordered by the Chief Engineer. Since the Gondia Public Works Department did not initiate the break-test track, the Chief Engineer of Public Works Department, in order to take stock of the heavy vehicles in the Gondia district, should take the necessary steps to prepare the track.
But his order did not spare the executive engineer public works Gondia. The box does not have a track in four places. Break test track has not been created at 4 places in the state. Four such places are Beed, Gondia, Akluj and Thane.
Due to the absence of a break test track, the vehicles have to go to another place for inspection. A vehicle driver said that more than five thousand rupees were used to get a vehicle to get Bhandara.
