Tirora: After the permission of Adani Group to install coal-based thermal power plant at 148.59 hectares of forest land in the Gondia district of Vidarbha in Maharashtra, Maharashtra Forest Department has now approved 141.99 hectares of land in this area for a research center. Given.

On the other hand, in the acceptance letter given by the Forest Department, there is also a mention of Gondia Collector’s comment in which he said that all the options have been scrutinized. This letter, accepted by the Principal Chief Conservator, also states that the acquisition of this land by the Adani Group will result in industrial development in the area and about 250-300 local people will get employment.
It is being told that on the ground the Adani Group will spend about Rs 100 crore on the research center. Not only this, around 1400 trees will also be cut in this forest area. As part of its compensation, plantation will be done in the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary area in Ratnagiri district.
According to the spokesperson of the Adani Group, this land of 141.99 hectares will be developed as the use of fly ash, promotion and research park. Explain that the Maharashtra Fly Ash is the first state in the country to adopt the utility policy.
Actually, fly ash from thermal power plant is environmentally harmful. In this case fly ash will be used to make other construction materials, such as cement, bricks, tiles, through this policy.
