Raipur, Chhattisgarh – By Megha Tiwari
Chhattisgarh’s Education Secretary Siddharth Komal Pardeshi is facing serious allegations of protecting unrecognized private schools, depriving thousands of poor students of their rightful education under the RTE (Right to Education) Act.
According to senior Congress spokesperson Vikas Tiwari, private school mafias are reportedly working in collusion with the Education Secretary and officials from the DPI office. The Public Commission has issued a notice directing Secretary Pardeshi to appear and submit a detailed report, but he has reportedly avoided attending hearings.
Krishna Public School Controversy:
-
The principal of Krishna Public School, Raipur is allegedly running six unrecognized schools under the name Krishna Kids Academy without any legal permission.
-
Uniforms, syllabus, ties, and logos used in these schools are identical to Krishna Public School.
-
At the Tatibandh branch, a student fell from a school van, which actually belonged to KPS Sarona (CBSE recognized), highlighting unsafe practices.
Investigation Findings Ignored:
-
Vikas Tiwari filed a written complaint with the Joint Director of Education, Raipur, and the District Education Officer last year.
-
A committee investigation confirmed all allegations against Krishna Public School and submitted a report to the Joint Director.
-
No action has been taken so far by JD Raipur Yogesh Shivhare, DEO R.L. Thakur, or Himanshu Bhartiya.
Impact on Students:
-
Thousands of students in unrecognized schools are denied RTE benefits.
-
Parents are being charged lakhs of rupees illegally in school fees.
-
Students do not have proper IDs, affecting their future academic and career prospects.
-
The Education Secretary and senior officials allegedly protect these illegal schools, leading to a continual decline in the quality of education in Chhattisgarh.

Vikas Tiwari emphasized that Siddharth Komal Pardeshi’s repeated absence from High Court and Public Commission hearings directly benefits unrecognized private schools while harming students who are already vulnerable.
